Ecofeminism E-book Published

I’m happy to share that I published an ebook, Ecofeminism as a Tool for Environmental Liberation, with the community organization, Intersectional Environmentalist. I began working with this organization because they center women of color in discussions about the environment.

Our ebook discusses the history of ecofeminism through an intersectional lens with an emphasis on women of color in ecofeminist liberation movements. Research shows that environmental and man-made disasters disproportionately impact women, femmes, non-binary, and gender-fluid people acutely. In our ebook, we explore ecofeminism through an intersectional lens by emphasizing how gender, sexuality, race, class, geography, and other social factors determine how marginalized people experience environmental problems.

We discuss:

  • Black ecofeminism and ecowomanism

  • Queer ecologies

  • Fast fashion and labor justice

  • The green revolution and agricultural liberation

  • Dakota access pipeline and Indigenous approaches to ecofeminism
