Dr. Meg Perret (she/they) is an Assistant Professor of Global Studies at Texas A&M University in the Department of Global Languages and Cultures, the Women’s and Gender Studies Program, and the Race and Ethnic Studies Institute. She completed her Ph.D. in History of Science with a secondary field in Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies from Harvard University.

Her areas of expertise are:

  • Environmental Humanities

  • Science and Technology Studies

  • Feminist and Queer Theory

She researches narratives about the future of nature. Her research is funded by the National Science Foundation. Read her latest publication here.

She also conducts interdisciplinary research with scientists and has collaborated with the feminist laboratory, the Harvard GenderSci Lab. As a community-engaged scholar, she has worked with intersectional environmental justice organizations, including Intersectional Environmentalist and Our Climate Voices.
